The tab bar in Outlook that lets you switch between email, contacts, calendars, folders, etc can be put on the left side of the client, or on the bottom beneath your folders:


Changing the bar's position

  1. In Outlook, click File
  2. In the bottom left of the screen, click Options:

  3. In the Options window, click Advanced:

  4. If you want the bar to be on the left, check Show Apps in Outlook.
    If you want the bar to be on the bottom, uncheck Show Apps in Outlook:

  5. You will be prompted to restart Outlook- click OK and then quit Outlook and re-open it.

When you re-open Outlook, the bar will be positioned on either the left or the bottom based on whether or not you checked the box in Step 4.
