Sometimes, when running a program on your computer that program will request an additional level of permissions beyond what is normally allowed. This is referred to as "[local] Administrator permissions". If you see a message like this:

That means the program is trying to run with Administrator permissions. Most programs do not need this type of permission to run normally. Sometimes, older programs or programs needing an update will request Administrator permission- but such permission can also be used by malicious software to cause harm to your computer or network.

When you see the above prompt, if you expected it to appear just click Yes- a ticket will automatically be generated and a technician will review your request. If our analysis shows the application to be benign, we will approve it and notify you, and then you can run the app again and it will automatically be granted the required Administrative permissions.

If the technician reviewing your request has any questions before approving it, they will reach out to you with a call or email follow-up.
