Connecting to your workstation

This article describes the process of creating a new Remote Desktop Connection file and configuring it to connect to your office computer through a Remote Desktop Gateway server. These instructions are for connecting from a Windows 10 computer.

This is a one-time setup that will create a shortcut on your desktop that you can use to connect to your work computer.

⚠ You will need the gateway server address for your business, the name of your computer, and your business' domain name before continuing. If you do not have them, please contact us by emailing care@osmosis.net.

Switch back to the General tab. Under the Connection settings section, click Save As...

Use the Save File dialog to save a copy of your remote connection file somewhere you'll be able to access it. We suggest saving it on your desktop, and giving it a meaningful name such as the name of your work computer.

Once you've saved your Remote Desktop Connection file, you can close the configuration settings by pressing the ❌ in the top-right corner of the window.
That's it! In order to connect to your work PC, simply double-click the connection file you just saved, and enter your credentials.

If you see a window that looks like the following when connecting, simply press Connect. Your connection is still secured with standard encryption.
